Shapes - US/Metric

When I start up Visio the shapes show up in US and Metric units. Is there a way to turn off one or the other as i don't use the Metric ones at this time.

menu Tools  -> Options -> Units
and turn off "Always offer Metrics and US units"

Have tried that by checking and unchecking the box with no luck. I installed Visio on another system and this feature can be turned off during the initial install through the advanced setup. May have to do that if all else fails.

Paul is right though, that should have done the trick. Perhaps there is an isue with your rights on the computer in question?

You could always run the uninstaller and modify your instalation... remove the Metric shapes.
