I am trying to copy a Microstation image into Visio. When I do that it comes up with an image composed of many lines which is totally different to the way it looks in Microstation. The image in Microstation is made up of one line. I have attached a sample file to show you the difference between the two images. Please use it as a reference. And please ignore the line colour because this can be easily fixed in Visio. I had to attach a pdf file because the system does not accept a file larger than 500 kb.

Is there a way I can overcome this issue. There is no information in Microstation to suggest a fix to this problem.

Appreciate anyone's help with this problem.

Thanks

Ray

I think it's the .DWG/DXF format that breaks lines up into small segments, Visio can only try to interpret what it's given.
Does MicroStation have any other export format?

It can also export drawings as .emf file which is basically an image but this does not work either.

In what way doesn't it work, Visio can import .emf files.

The same it does when importing a DWG file, as per the attachment in the original post
