Using: Visio 2007 Standard.
Problem: Cannot delete shape. Error message: "Shape protection and/or layer properties prevent complete execution of this command".
Have tried:
Selecting shape protection, all of the protection properties are 0. Clicked none for good measure.
Went into shapesheet and did the same in the properties section (it was all set to 0 to begin with).
Went into the right click, shape, layers and clicked None for the layers that the shape belongs to.
Update: Have discovered the shape (aka Shape1) deletes at the same time I delete another shape (shape2). Shape1 was created in VBA to be positioned over shape2 so perhaps something funny is going on there. Have solved my immediate problem but will post this to help others.
