Visio Not Responding

Windows XP
Visio 2007  sp 2

Frequently when I open up Visio all will be fine, until having a blank doc on screen, when I go to page set up to change to landscape (for example) it then freezes ... no further action possible ... and in task manager it goes Not Responding.

Sometimes I can leave for a few minutes and the tasks completes and i get the blank to carry on ..... other times it simply stays 'not responding'

What is the default printer set to?
Try changing it to something else. Does that make a dfference?

...and while you're at it, is the Video driver up-to-date?
