Hi folks out there in Visioland! This should be an easy one (I hope  :-\):

Can a formatted shape be reset to follow its master in the Document Stencil?

Thanks.

JohnGoldsmith

You can just type an equals sign (=) into the respective ShapeSheet cell and that will reset it back to inheriting from its master.  All cells in a blue font in the ShapeSheet are local or instance formulae and those in black are inherited.  If you've not come across the ShapeSheet before you can check out this post

http://visualsignals.typepad.co.uk/vislog/2007/10/just-for-starte.html

plus if you want to reset inheritance via code you can have a look at the last example in this post:

Hope that helps.

Best regards

Thanks John - I haven't had much to do with the ShapeSheet before. So there's no quick "Reset all" button that can be clicked? It would be nice if there was...

There remains the obvious solution. Drop a new shape based on the Master in the DocumentStencil to your drawing and delete the old one.

Sorry.  No quick reset button.
