Super Utilities - Reports
« on: February 16, 2012, 04:22:55 AM »
My question pertains to the Hyperlink report but your response may also apply to others...(note I have just bought this product and I am using it with Win 7 and Visio 2010).

Is there anyway to modify the Hyperlink Report (Document) to display Page Name, in addition to shape text/hyperlink and to be able to output to Excel.

I would really appreciate your help on this

Hi, the report currently shows the hyperlink as

From Rectangle to Drawing1#Page-1/sheet.1

which is how it's stored within Visio. What are you getting and what would you like to see?

Hi Paul

My error....I missed the sheet/page reference at the end and the it is well done.....

It would be ideal to separate all these references (Shape, Drawing, Page/Sheet, Hyperlink) into separate fields and output to excel which could then be sorted....etc is there anyway to do this?

I have realised that there may in fact be an omission....from your post:

From Rectangle to Drawing1#Page-1/sheet.1

should read

From Rectangle#Page-1/sheet.1 to Drawing1#Page-2/sheet.2

This is because in a visio document which say 50 pages it is not clear where the 'Rectangle' comes from ie what page it is on....
eg there could be a shape on a diagram on page 1 with a hyperlink to a diagram on page 2.....with 50 pages it would be difficult to sort or use the data without this reference.....

I hope you can help with this
