45 degree Metro Shape
« on: December 31, 2011, 06:17:48 AM »
Hi All

I posted some time ago about finding a 45 degree angle for the metro shapes.  While I was sent some examples of diagrams overall, I couldn't see a shape I could use.

I have completed my "map" and have appended this as 'visiomap.jpg'.  I would really like to take it a step further and make it more 'London Underground'-esque; and having nice 45 degree angles would be a start!  For reference you can see the type of shape I'm after here http://www.flickr.com/photos/22935798@N06/2266221600/ just near "Moorgate" at the bottom left.

There's nothing programmatic about the map: I'm just looking to make this look like a map!  Can anyone help with a shape to go with the other metro shapes?

Thanks

Ben

It is not the answer, but I would like to introduce you a site
named "fictitious railway Southwest express Conference" at
http://www10.atpages.jp/panzerfalcon/ .
They are using Visio since the times of Visio4,
and making various railway maps, fantastic 3D view of the
inside of station buildings, and time tables.
Though this site is written in Japanese,
you can translate into your language with online automatic translator in internet.
Here I attached one of their railway maps.
I hope you enjoy this site.

Thanks for the link!  It looks like a much grander example of what I'm trying to do.  Thanks for sharing.

these are based on Junes stuff....though I will say I added alot to them  ;-)

Top ones are intelligent (double click...play with angle/spacing/etc)

The bottom ones are fixed 45 degree

No VBA use at all

Have fun
