Is there a recolor feature in Visio that allows me to set a transparent color (as in MS Publisher) on an inserted picture?  I cannot seem to find this anywhere.

Thanks!

Visio can't set the transparent color but it will respect any transparency set in an imported image. e.g. in PNG files.

A work-around is to bring the picture into Visio, then export it to a png file.  The export menu allows you to set the transparency color.  Been a while, but I believe this works.

both wrapperdude and paul are correct, however. Shape transparency is set at the line and fill level of the shapesheet (fillformat and lineformat sections) and has to be set individually for the primary and any subshapes that may be involved. Just setting it using the format section of the menu doesn't change the subshapes. You have to write a little piece of recursive code to go through the top and subshapes. As paul mentioned it can also be done if the shape your working with is an image...

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, but Dimitry's application worked beautifully!  Thanks, Brother!
