not able to connect shapes..!

pardon me for asking some really basic questions..! I am not able to glue shape corner (square) to connection points. I have 2 shapes (1 square & another rectangle). I selected the rectangle & created some connector points on that. Now I want to "GLUE" the square corner to those connector points which I am not able to figure out.
Can someone help me..?

You need a connector on both of the shapes, also while the connector tool is active, select and right-click your connection points to check that they are accepting both incomming and outgoing connections (or atleast the square need outgoing and the rectangle incomming)

There is also a way to get connection points to glue directly to each other. But there is no nice user-interface for specifying the types of connection points. Microsoft had to remove it because of copyright infringements. So now you have to go through the ShapeSheet to get it to work.
