Basically, the co-ordinate system seems unreliable. (Visio seems to "optimize" somehow but of course the reason I'm doing the
layout is because all the optimization it does is "bad".)

I have 2 functions that place the first node at the same place but both work differently.

Does anybody understand how Drop(<Master>, X, Y) actually works?

Giving you my sample code wouldn't help much. My code is actually in C++. I'm confused why but it looks like the COM interfaces available to me via the generated C++ classes are fewer than those offered in VB. I'm assuming C++ is not being
fully supported. So, I've phrased my question in terms of the VB. If you understand how the coordinates work after multiple application of Drop(<master>, x, y), it will help.

Never mind, dyxlexic. I did something rather stupid.
