Will Visio 2003 Pro work on Vista?
I am trying to load Visio 2003 Pro on Vista Home Prem. I keep getting an error saying that Window Prof 2000 is required. I have change the conversion to XP and others with no luck. I have tried as Administrator as well. Any ideas?

Thanks Lars-Erik,
I tried that, but without the program on the machine the SP3 doesn't want to load. It must be something that I have not found yet. I loaded Visio 2000 with no problem.
Still open to suggestion and thanks again.

So your problem is with installing? not running it?

JLW

Yes it is. I get to the blue box with "Initializing Wise Installation Wizard", then a few seconds later I get "Windows 2000 Professional is required."

Lars-Erik

Is there a NT version of Visio 2003? dnno, maybe thats your problem?
You could consider trying a trial version to see if that runs into the same problem
Trial can be found here

Lars,
I did load the trial version with no problems.

Are you trying to load an upgrade or a full version?  The error sounds like it's expecting V2000 Pro to already be installed.  The trial version doesn't need any previous installs.
Visio 2019 Pro

that's the error symptom you get when somebody is trying to load an upgrade copy instead of a full version. It want's the original disk to ensure it's legitimate.
