Curved Connectors, 45-degree takeoff?

Hello!  In my current visio activities, I'm connecting circles together with curved arrows connectors.  I've got the connector vehavior set to Simple, Top-to-Bottom, reroute freely, and curved.

This gives me *almost* what I want.  The connections reoute nicely when i move the circles around (much better than when I had right-angle style), but it'd be really nice if the start/end points were allowed to be on 45 degree angles in addition to the cardinal points it will currently attach to.

Is there a way to do this?  In the past I've added connection points to the circles, but then if I move the circles too radically, I have to manually move the connector ends from one connection point to another.  I like the way it automatically picks a point to come out of when I skip the connection points, but I just really want for there to be more than 4 places my arrows will come from/go to.

thanks!
