Change default in "select by type"?

I use "select by type" all the time to select guidelines and then do a mass delete of them.  Is there any way to adjust the default on the select by type dialog so that just guides (or whatever one wants) is selected, instead of everything?  I know I can click "none" and then choose guides, but it gets to be a lot of annoying repeated clicking.
