Hi.

I have a shape (a group), that contains some sub shapes.
When I resize the group, I don't want the sub shapes to resize.

I've tried to "lock" Width/Height/Aspect on these sub shapes, and tried the different settings resize setings under behaviour.

Shouldn't these do the trick? Am I doing something in the wrong order? Do I have to set these settings BEFORE making the sub shapes a part of a group?

width = guard(<xxx>)    Height = guard(<yyy>)

Of course :)
Thank You!

And.. is there a way to do the same WITHOUT going into the shape sheet? (I want users to create these shapes without knowing about the shape sheet...)

I think a combination of the protections and something I vague recall at the entire visio level (something like lock or something...try views) can ensure this.

I dont know if it locks all shapes or ones with protection set.

I do know that apply protection at the group level does not apply to subshapes.

You could also look at behavior and in the resize section pick just placement not size.

Sorry for not being more help....however, if this is a master group, you could do the guard thing once there and it would apply to every drop or usage of that master group
