Hi, I need to include a big table with data from an Excel spreadsheet onto my visio drawing.
Is there a shortcut to do so without hand typing the data?

I can copy the table and create a JPG file, then insert the picture into my drawing. But the problem is that in the end I need to convert my visio into ACAD's *.dwg and it seems the Visio CAD converter will not convert image.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.  ;)

CAD files cant contain pictures... at least not the Auto CAD formats

Maybe the data linking from excel into text fields will work.
Or you could try inserting the Excel file into Visio, though I doubt the converter will work with that.

As for linking the data:
Use the wizzard in Data -> Link data to shapes
You can then drag data to shapes, and if you make a shape that displays the data you want, that should be able to display all the excel data. Somewhat of a workaround but still...

As for the second:
Insert -> Object -> Insert from file
Insert your excel file.

I'm not sure how converting into CAD will respond to this.
