There is little expectation of finding a solution as it is reported as fixed in the 2002 version.  However, I'm not going to pay $$$ for reporting an error to MS so here it is.  Thanks in advance for your precious time.

The following is in the MS error reporting format:
What is the issue?
Print preview shows a small portion of the drawing.  (Printing is most likely a waste or money.)
Save As PDF generates a small part of the drawing
Save As bmp returns a 920 error
Save As dwg works
Save As jpg returns a 920 error
normal save works
What symptoms did you notice that led you to submit this support request? See above.
What is the specific function that you are experiencing a problem with? (For example: File Replication, Mail Server Backup, Kerberos)
Saving AS and printing.
What is the exact text of any error messages you received that are associated with this problem?

"An error (920) occurred during the action Save As.
An error occurred. Visio is unable to complete exporting."

What is occurring and what do you expect to be occurring? See above.
On what systems and versions does the problem occur?

Diagram and Print scales are the solutions here I think. I'm away from the office at the moment with no access to Visio (shock! Horror!). Try menu File -> Page Setup and set the print scale to fit to page for a start.
With the saving as a graphics file with that size of drawing the image is going to be enormous: 295" 96dpi x 524" x 96dpi = 1.4G pixels
You're nearly out of space with an 8 bit colour depth.
