Group data and the Double Click

I need to have the ability to double click a group of shapes and have them all either change color or Hilite, and if possible have a popup windows displaying a predefined set of properties from the shape data.  I've got the groupings and I am using the Color By function to color all shapes equaling a data property.  But I have some many shapes I need someway to make a selected group standout, and display data.
