Problem Recording a VBA Macro

i have Visio 2007 pro.
i m trying to add a macro: tools > macro > macros...
but then the "create" button is disabled.

also the: tools > macro > record new macro... is disabled

why?

Do you a document open? You need a document of some sort to attach the macro to.

yes, i do.
i have a .vsd opened.

You may be running into security settings, please read: Visio Guy ยป VBA Macro Security

Or you have a read-only document open?  Although I don't know if that really would create this problem.

I also think that there is a "disable VBA" option somewhere, but that might be in the security settings. I can't remember off hand...

nothing seems to solve this problem!

as i understand the macro is saved into the .vsd, right?

can someone upload a .vsd with a macro, so i can test.

Hi,

Here is a Visio 2007 drawing with a simple macro.
I have had an experience like this, but I am not sure just fit to you.
I've suddenly lost macro, when I was making macro.
This drawing was degitally signed with my own but not authorized.
The macro was never restored. Not once.

Check the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Visio\Application\NoVBA
