I have a template for page 1, and I just decided that I want to add a second page to my documents, but this second page needs to have a different template so that I don't spend 15minutes setting the page up before I can even enter data.

Summary: How to insert a 2nd page with a template that is different from the template of page 1

Thanks!

Hi Imzayas,

There is no "merge templates" feature in Visio, unfortunately. You can copy shapes from one document to another quite easily, and Visio is automatable via, eg: VBA, VB.Net, C#.

What kind of stuff do you need to get into your second page? Borders, master shapes, settings, styles????

You could create a new document based on the new template and then merge the documents by copying the new page to the end of the original document.
You could either write your own code or we have a pre-prepared utility that will do this at

and look at the page copy options.
