Wondered if you have any clues about copying shape sheet to a new shape.
Eg
I create a shape – (lets say a server shape from the Network/servers/us)
And I link it to a data source and add a data graphic (using 2-3 lines of the data)
Now the standard formatting is set in the data graphic
But I can go into the shape sheet and alter the size of fonts, location of them relative to each other, and even compress the data graphic so it uses less space on page (I have a lot to add on a page)
In the drawing explorer – these show up as:

Each shape shows up (eg Raid) and under it all the sheets that make up the image
For mine I also get Border and text call outs (sometimes show as text callouts, sometimes as Heading xxx ) for the data graphics just like sheet 10 shows above (only it says Border or text call out 1, 2 etc)

It is these that I change the font size, height (in border rectangle)

So I have to change these factors in each heading , for each shape I use

Now I want to use a switch or router shape – also using the same data source
And I want to have all the same settings as the server had – without all the effort I had to go through to get it to a format I like

I'd like to be able to copy Heading 2 ( and border rectangle, and the other 3-4 headings) above and paste to the switch shape or the router shape or any other shapre I use.

This would be like creating DATA GRAPHICS – but the data graphics do not let you edit them
And when you look at a drawing, it says a certain data graphic is assigned – but when you select a new shape and assign that data graphic to it – it retains its own format

Guess what I really want is a data graphics editor.
Or a PAINT format of a data graphic to a new shape

Any ideas

I kinda got lost with what you're trying to do.  Suspect that may  ???  be true of other readers, too -- hence the lack of responses.

I looked at your doc file, not quite sure what it has to do with your request.  It might be beneficial if you have a simple Visio file that can be posted to illustrate what you'd like accomplished.  Perhaps a before/after kind of thing.

I'm looking for a way to put parts of a shape (certain shape elements) into another shape. On the attached file I placed a shape (hub), attached a data graphic and went into the shape sheet and modified the Font, font size, location and rotation for both the blue header area and the text call out. the shape shows it is using the data graphic on right (DATA/Display data on Shapes)
Now I grab a different shape (server) - and apply the same data graphic - it defaults to the data graphic defined format - both shapes show attached to same data graphic but you can see they are different.

If you go into the drawing explorer (VIEW/Data Explorer) you can see the sheets that affect the data graphic - but you cannot cut and paste them to another shape (Forground pages/page 1/shapes/hub/shapes - {Heading 3 and text callout}

I'd like to find a way to either:
copy parts {Heading 3 and text callout} to another shape

or

create /modify the details of the data graphic ( is there a shape sheet somewhere for the data graphics???)
