I've been using Visio for some time now. I always assumed that it was possible to create presentations that were dynamic. By this i mean they have buttons that can do interesting things that can be used by an end user in full screen mode (I don't want my users having access to the editing tools). I'm shocked that visio seems to supply what i need but only in edit mode. Am i completely misunderstanding the purpose of Visio?

My end goal is to have a few buttons that hide/show certain layers in full screen mode. This could be accomplished by invoking some VBA script or doing some other clever trick.  I really hope i'm wrong but it seems that Visio is powerful in edit mode but is useless in full screen mode...which is the only mode i can see giving a formal presentation in.

I've been banging my head against a wall trying to figure this out...any help would be much appreciated!

check my animation template posted here.   Decent starting point for this....not a panacea

OK i will take a look, thanks! I'm still incredibly disappointed that this functionality doesn't exist in a more obvious way.

yep...me too...I only went down this path because PPT is very crude/coarse regarding drawings
(wanted animation but needed precision)
