I have created several of my own shapes in Visio and I wanted to know just a couple of things. When I grab a corner connection point and start to decrease the size of my newly created object the line thickness  and text/font size  does not decrease in size as well. Thus I have to manually go and select each line or group and change the lines and text. It the a shapesheet formula I can create to do this automatic?  Secondly how do I give my newly created object a properties value (i.e. when I right click on an item that is in a default stencil it has a properties selection at the very bottom of the menu appears and when I select it the shape date window appears.

I have given my item property values using the shapesheet  data.

Thanks,

Greg

To add properties, right click on the selected shape spawns a pop-up window and select  Data > Shape Data.  Say yes to create shape data entries.  Gives you a form to fill out.  If you want to see the Data when the shape is first placed, make sure you check the box Ask on drop.  The little question mark help icon is very useful, in the lower left corner.

And to create your own right-click-menu entry, go to the shapesheet, create the action-section and in an action cell place the formula "=DOCMD(1312)" that opens the ShapeData-dialog and in menu-cell place the text you want to see in right-click-menu.
