Title: New popup when starting Visio
Post by: Paul Herber on March 22, 2022, 07:53:16 PM
I just started a new Visio session in the middle of Doing Something Important and these windows popped up!
Next week it'll be washing powder adverts! We know you use washing powder, 'cos we are creepy!

one little insidious feature:  365 defaults to silently updating an application.  I now have that turned off
app ==>file ==> lower right ==> automatic updates ==> do not automatically update.

Dont know how get 365 to go back to previous version (if this is your situation, how to get version pre pop up).

Dont know if that caused these new pop ups

Experiences that analyse your content.
I do work for a charity where some of the words I use in documents regarding child safeguarding, animal cruelty, when taken out of context, could be analysed in a manner that could certainly be used against me.

With the 2nd warning I'm sure they are trying to scare people into thinking that maybe their email will stop working.

I'm still at Office 10, no longer getting updates.

This sounds like one of thus warnings that result when you change from default settings.

Have you tried resetting to defaults to see if these warnings cease and desist?  Hopefully that's the case.  Is it possible to turn off these pop-up alerts?  Have you googled the specific alert?  Rarely, these are isolated events.  There may be a solution out there.
