Post by: dmac101 on December 14, 2021, 03:30:56 AM
Hi all,
I have just come across this bug and was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.

Visio has out of memory error when trying to open file where complete path length exceeds 256 characters including spaces.

Good to know Visio may not give an appropriate error in this case, a memory error is not very informative if the issue is file path length. Office programs do give an appropriate error in these cases.

Files are stored in SharePoint with sync to my onedrive. The folder structure has several layers with long names that follow a defined naming convention
