Title: Visio/Power BI question that's really more about Power BI
Post by: scott on September 24, 2021, 11:02:14 PM
I've used the Visio Visual for Power BI successfully for several purposes. However, I need help with the Power BI side and thought I'd post here in case someone has tried something like this.

I have three columns of data, let's call them Field A, Field B, and Field C.

I'd like to create a slicer (or other way for the user to choose), that selects the field based on user choice. In other words, I want the user to select which field's data is visualized in the Visio Visual. For example, if the user selects Field B then that's the data that should appear.

I've used slicers many times to select values or a range of values within a particular field, but would like the user to have the option of which field they visualize. I suspect this may require measures or other PBI tricks that I freely admit I don't know much about. But I'm hoping that one of you does!
