Title: Deleting shapes & their connectors
Post by: tepebox on August 25, 2021, 08:10:01 PM
Hi,

I created some sheet where I have a number of shapes and they have many dynamic connectors in between.

When I now delete a shape most of the time all connectors linked with this shape are deleted as well. But sometimes some or even all connectors stay there and I have to delete them one by one manually.

Any idea how I can make sure that if I delete a shape all connectors linked with it are deleted as well?

Thanks...

Set the option accordingly in Visio's advanced options dialog.

...THANKS, but what shell I do when it sometimes works and sometimes not within the same Visio file without changing the options? That's what I see on the current project I'm working with...

If switched on, they work if they are well connected - that is sometimes
When switched off this it doesn't occure.
Leave it off.

If, after all of that, there's still some residual connectors, you could iterate thru all connectors and check connectivity count.  Delete all with count = 0, probably all with count = 1.  Do nothing for count = 2.
