Title: Magnifying Glass
Post by: Stefan on April 26, 2009, 09:29:05 AM
I have trying to create some items and I started with a magnifying glass, I have looked at it so many times even though it only took a a few minutes to draw, I would appreciate some comments as to how near the real article it looks.

Hey!  Nicely done.  Looks pretty cool.  I like the "glare" on the lense.

Pretty cool! I like the distortion underneath the glass.

One thing I notice is that the reflections on glass aren't usually so symmetrical. I usually put a round highlight on the light-side of the glass, and a sliver or moon-shape on the other side.

I also added some highlights to the rim around the glass.
