I have searched online but it seems that nobody has talked about this since 2014. I am trying to build my own shapes and I am ripping apart vendor shapes and creating my own and building my own stencil called "Shape-tools.vssx" but I cannot open the stencil while in a visio file due to the following error...
Visio internal error: #2200
Action : ???
First try closing and reopening the file. next try restarting Visio.
I can open it directly by double-clicking it and i see all my shapes but only in read-only mode. I cannot open it from within a drawing, which is where I need all these little shapes. Any ideas?
Which version of Visio?
Where is the vssx file installed?
Try copying to the My Shapes folder (if it's not there already).
Is the file set to read-only?
