Print Page - Shortcut copy won't work

Title: Shortcut copy won't work

I use Visio at work and to copy a line or box or anything I select it with the mouse and hold ctr key down and slide a copy out - easy. Try this at home and it doesn't work and I have to do select then meny copy then menu paste. Wastes time. Must be a setting on windows maybe?

Select the shape(s) and then press Control-D for Duplicate.
