Title: Visio 2019 file formats
Post by: Paul Herber on December 04, 2018, 03:56:27 PM
What Visio file formats can Visio 2019 read/write?
I assume the .vsdx/vstx/vssx format is still the normal.
Can .vsd/vst/vss and .vdx/vtx/vsx still be read?
Can .vsd still be written?

I know it reads vsd, vss.

In the drop-down save as list, these are shown:
Vsdx, vssx, vstx
Vsdm, vssm, vstm
Vsd, vdw, vss, vst

Svg, svgz, dwg, dxf, htm, html, emz, emf, gif, jpg

Pdf

Png, tif, bmp, dib, wmf, xps

Seems like the pdf save as is working better than V2007 version...based on sample of one.

just googled vdw. A web drawing. Probably some javascript solution. Could be promising.

vdw format was introduced in Visio 2010 as an output format for Sharepoint. Still supported but no longer recommended.
