Hi all,

This is my first post and apologies if I don't follow the procedure correctly.

I've created a Visio diagram in Visio 2016 from Excel file. Whenever I save the excel file, link between excel file and Visio is broken. I receive the following error and cannot udapte the diagram by modifying Excel file. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Hmmm...

So, since the error message seems to think you have the Excel file open when you try to update the diagram, have you actually closed Excel entirely after saving your changes in Excel, before attempting to update the Visio diagram??

Hi Rudy, thanks for the answer. I've saved and closed the excel file but it still does not work. In addition to this, I've tried to create the link again but I couldn't figure out how.
