Title: Visio Exported/Printed PDF Not Scaled Correctly
Post by: vphshockwave on June 19, 2018, 05:17:14 AM
Let me explain the issue,

We do property designs and generally I have to scaled the page anywhere from 20'/in to 100'/inch depending on the size of the property.  I then export the design as a PDF, then we print them on standard 8.5x11" paper.  For some reason, when I have to run a low scale (generally 30'/in or lower) the scale on the printed PDF is off.  I'm guess this has something to do with the PDF or the some type of scaling done when printing but I can find no trace of a problem anywhere.  I even swapped to a brand new laser printer and the issue is persisting.  I'm really stumped and it's making us look a little stupid when our designs aren't scaling out right on paper.  I've uploaded a very basic property outline I was using scaled @ 30'/in.  To be clear, the mark under the compass should be exactly 1" on the page when printed out, and the main northern property line should be EXACTLY 5" across but for some reason it's not printing out like that.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried printing directly from Visio?

Is the printout in error because of margins?

Just some initial thoughts.
