Title: Wall Connecting
Post by: jhartley on October 13, 2017, 01:37:00 PM
How do I stop my wall from resizing when I connect it to another wall.  I'm not sure if I need to turn off glue or snapping or both.

Rather vague...is it changing by a known amount, e.g. the width of the new wall thickness, or by snapping to nearest grid?

The former can result if the exterior walls and interior walls are mixed.  Sometimes, that scenario is unavoidable, e.g., a "Tee" type connection.  The issue is Visio walls are 1-D, shapes, and so, their intrinsic behavior is referenced to a single side of the wall.

I managed to get the exterior of the building drawn.  Now I am having trouble drawing the interior walls.  Every time I attach the walls they change sizes to adjust for the wall thickness that I'm attaching to.  Is there a way to turn this off.

There's no way to turn that off.  The system is rather some, limited.  Measurements are based upon the reference lines only.  Can't imagine what the thinking was.
