I have hyperlinks embedded into my Visio diagram that open up additional/related Visio diagrams. The problem is that it always opens it in the same Visio instance, and I have to use the View -> Switch Windows to go back and forth.

I want to have the linked document show up in a new instance of Visio so I can see both at once. I know I can split the windows in the same document, but I want to split them across computer screens, so I need a new instance.

I tried using the "ShapeSheet" and setting "NewWindow" to true, but it made no difference.

Is there a way to do this? I am using Visio 2016.

What you mean as linked document ?

"linked document" = the Visio document (*.vsdx) that I want to appear when the hyperlink is clicked.
