Title: There is a sharing conflict. The file cannot be accessed as requested.
Post by: Dragon36 on March 13, 2017, 02:53:44 PM
Hello everyone:

Running Windows 7 Pro, Visio Pro 2013 just up from Visio 2010

When Saving or Saving As, from Visio 2010 format to Visio 2013 format i get one of these errors:  "There is a sharing conflict.  The file cannot be accessed as requested." OR "DOS Sharing violation"
A same type of error happened when running Visio 2010:  An error (113) occurred during the action Save.  Close this file now because it may be corrupt.  To recover ...
OR
An error (128) occurred during the action Save.

We upgraded to V2013 from V2010 in hoping this would resolved the former issue; it did not.

Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion Wapperdude.

I ran thru these to no avail.  I cannot delete the created tab, for instance, since this would del my drawing.

i'm on a network, so backup, virus checking, encryption, etc are being looked into also.

It 'feels' like the files i'm editing exists in memory only.  then when i perform the Save, it then Opens it for the writes.  It's at this time that I believe it cannot open it a second time because some other process has its hands in it.  Then the errors pop up.

Thanks!
