I am having trouble getting the Calculated Area macro to work on complex layouts. The calculation stops working and displays wrong areas etc.

Are you sure that your question (about macro) for this sub-forum (ShapeSheet & Smart Shapes) ?

Please share youк code, it may be somebody can help

The macro is embedded in the Smart Shape, I think. It works at start but as the drawing becomes more complex the calculation stops working. If I insert a new shape it works OK. I think it down to modification of the shape (rotate, fill, rounding etc.). The automatic calculator stops working.

i misunderstand: you mean custom macro or built-in add-in ?
