Title: Terrain in Visio - just for fun.
Post by: Bald Eagle on March 01, 2016, 03:12:21 PM

I'm having a discussion on another forum with someone developing a game.
Given that the topic at hand was developing a set of game tiles, and Visio uses squares, and has all sorts of architectural smart shapes, and can save as png, etc...   I thought I'd just post this here in case anyone wanted to play with something like this.

Might be a very neat and useful tool for landscapers and architects to automatically generate a random, but fairly seamless landscape populated with plants and water features, etc.    Electrical wiring, pipes, roadmaps, .... yeah.

It's also just a VERY cool video in case you ever wondered how they generate the endless terrain to wander through in a 2D video game.   :)
