Title: My file adds 3x the length when saving!?
Post by: Vendril on April 01, 2015, 05:36:24 AM
Hey all,

When I save my doc as a vdw it adds like 3x the length to the page size.  I have tried a ctrl all to find anything out in the boonies off page but cant find anything.  This also happens when I select Design tab "Fit to drawing".  It's driving me crazy!!

I am using Visio2010.

I generally don't, and was not for this.  However when I save it to .vdw and upload it to sharepoint it has the "extra" size.  I am only mentioning "fit to drawing" because it doing that forces the same result and I thought perhaps it was linked to the same issue.

Thanks for having a look.  Turns out it is an issue with the curved walls on the top of the stairwells.  Deleting them both and then doing Fit to Drawing fixes it.  I have done some testing and it only breaks when connecting a CURVED wall of any length to the top of the stairwells.  Each Curved wall extends the page right and NOT to the top where you would expect even though the walls are cleary on page.

Any other connections seem to work fine.  Just a bug in Visio I guess.
