Title: Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams in Visio 2013

Hi,

I have Visio Standard 2013 and have opened a new file with the P&ID template. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any stencils or shapes in this template. Is this because I've got Standard and not Professional, and if so what could I do about it?

That is the case, sorry. Buying Visio Pro is your only option as far as I know.

I do have plans for a set of shapes of this type in the future, but no idea when yet.

May I give my thoughts on the subject?

Visio's stencils for P&IDs are very limited. The don't go beyond basic schematics.
The shapes supplied with the solution are too simple as to require to buy a pro edition of Visio.

My advice would clearly be to build your own system. I'd be glad to share my experience.
