I just got 2013 standard and have another shape issue. First I did the file blocking fix on other threads.
But this is what I did. I moved from 2007 and a desktop to 2013 on a laptop. So what I did is moved my shapes
to a flash drive and transferred to the new laptop with the new 2013 version.
When I go to open my shapes 2013 takes forever to load them. Also when they do load
and I try to scroll down the shapes it has to pause and load again. (spinning circle Visio not responding)
And you can't do anything while this goes on. Just the spinning circle.
Do the old shapes need to be rebuilt? Worked fine on 2007 standard.
It is doing something because it pegs on of my cpu's in task manager while it is spinning.
Here is what I get when the spinning stops and I try to drag the shape on a drawing.
Visio 2013 pro includes EESWCH_M.VSSX.
Is it included in standard edition?
If standard edition includes EESWCH_M.VSSX, use it.
If not, I am affraid standard edition might not support.
I think you've only copied a shortcut to the stencils.
