Title: Controlling Fill Gradient from Shape Data
Post by: Chris_UK on September 27, 2013, 06:03:39 PM
Hi
I want to have a simple rectangle shape with a two color gradient and create a movable transition point based on a %value in shape data.
So 50% would be a mid point transition, 90% nearly at the top.
An easy solution escaped me! I am using Visio 2007
Can anybody help please?

Maybe something like the shape in the attached vsd?
You may of course group the shapes and add control points to control the position of the transitions. You may also want to set the primary and secondary fill colours of the sub-shapes dependent on the colours of the group shape.
I feel a little bit lazy this evening, so I'll let you set up the composite shape by yourselves.
Cheers, Yacine.

Thanks for the file and list of next steps.
Will take this offline and work at it.
I'm quite a Visio novice so it may be a while  :)
