Title: 1D shape LocPinX and LocPinY
Post by: jdtools on October 13, 2008, 08:00:03 PM
How can I have LocPinX and LocPinY centered vertical (top/bottom) instead of horizontal (left/right)?

I tried various methods and none allow me to do it. I can make them at the top or bottom by changing LocPinY values but not centered to a rectangle shape.

This is to snap my shape onto another one.

I've seen several shape from Visiocafe doing that but unable to replicate his technique.

I think the technique is to 1st draw your line (1-D) shape, convert it to a group, place your 2-D shape, and then add it to the 1-D group.  Now the LocPinY will accept the height info for the 2-D shape.

After I grouped them and convert to 1D I lost the orientation.

The order of steps is to convert the line to group 1st, then add the shape to the group:  menu bar > shape > grouping > add to group.
