Title: Sandrila SDL
Post by: luis on February 15, 2012, 06:43:12 PM
I'm not sure this is the right forum for my problem with Sandrila SDL.
I tried sandrila SDL in visio 2003 then I followed the uninstall instructions.  Somehow my "Insert Page" got disabled any ideas??

It certainly is the right place!
Yes, Sandrila SDL needs to control the action of adding a new page so it disables the standard Add Page menu and adds its own to the SDL menu.

Thanks for the info.  How do I recover my "Add page" menu?    SDL has been  removed from the file paths dialog and I removed the directory where I unzipped it.

Have you restarted Visio? The SDL addon can only remove the menu when it is running.

Sad day. Sandrila SDL was my first Visio addon. Not only is SDL now an out-of-date technology, but the basis on which I built it is also out-of-date. It used Borland Delphi 6 and Graham Wideman's Visio controller written in Delphi. All now very out-of-date. The code I wrote used the now defunct .VDX, VTX, VSX file formats, and as I can no longer build the software I can't create a new release using the current (VSDX etc) file formats. So, sorry to say, this project is no more, it has ceased to be, it is an ex-project. Almost 20 years. Doesn't time pass quickly when you're enjoying yourself!
