Title: Electronics Shapes - moving text
Post by: RobM on October 14, 2011, 03:05:12 AM
I downloaded the electronics++ packages, and bobs your uncle I got a schematic done. Almost :)

in the text block associated with a Zener I entered "D1  8,2V". After placing the components, I tried to move the text block in the same way that I do with standerd shape, or the text associated with connector:
Then I can should be able to drag rotate or resize the  text block... I can not drag it, but I can rotate or resize.

How do I move the text to make the drawing more readable?

Oh, Visio 2010, Windows 7 Pro 64bit

Thanks for any help,

Rob

Hi Rob, you should find a small yellow control handle near the diode, this is what you drag to move the text. This handle should be available on just about every shape. I've just tested all 11 shapes in the diodes stencil, they all seem to be OK.

Paul -

There seems to be no yellow control handle, including when I select the diode and use the "text block" tool see "textblock.PNG"
It looks like this on my screen see "zener.PNG"

Any thoughts?

All I can suggest is to delete the diode and add a new one from the stencil. I'll guess that the text control on the one on your drawing has had the drawing area/control deleted somehow.
