Title: Changing Shape size on first page only of multi-page org chart
Post by: K@thleen on August 04, 2011, 09:46:22 PM
I'm creating multi page org charts for each function within our company.  I would like to have the first page show 3 levels of each area.  Because the org chart is much larger, I want to make the shape size smaller so the chart will fit on one page, but I only want to change the first page and not change the remaining pages.

I'm sure there must be a way to do this but I have been searching for some time now and cannot figure it out.  I have the Visio 2007 Standard.

Can you help?

I think that the only way to do this is to resize the shapes manually.

...and for a really round-about solution, you could make your 1st drawing page a smaller, custom size, and then in the print setup, instead of scaling by 100%, make the setting to be fit to printer page.  The advantage, if there is one, would be that the scaling is always intact should you refresh your org chart on occasion.

With the first page as the current (active) page:
Step 1:  menu bar > File > Page Setup > Page Size > Custom size & set desired drawing page size.
Step 2:  ....> Print Setup > Print zoom select Fit to 1 sheet across, 1 sheet down
Step 3:  ....> Print Setup > Setup... and check the boxes to center horizontally & vertically

This will effectively make the shapes on the 1st page appear larger.
