Noob Question - Creating a line

Ok, so I'm new to visio and I'm trying to plan out something i'm building. I'm having trouble getting exact measurements because i can't draw lines of exact lengths. I open Visio and chose Home Plan (US Units)

I want to draw a 10" line at a 45 degree angle. Every time I do, I can't get exactly 10 inches. The line is either just over or just below 10" like 10.007" or 9.988"

How can I draw a line of an exact length?

I use Visio to make construction drawings for our local Habitat for Humanity and have to make precise measurements all the time.  Its actually pretty easy.

With your approximate line selected, open the Size and Position Window from the View window.  In that window, enter the precise length, angle, start and/or end positions and, like magic, precision is yours.
