Hello,

I'm interested in ensuring that rectangles snap only to visible lines. I've explored the options under View->Visual aids->General and enabled both the currently active snap and snap to grid checkboxes. However, when dragging rectangles, they sometimes land off-grid. Is there a way to restrict them to snap only to the grid lines?

Additionally, I've noticed that the grid line density changes as I zoom in and out. Is there a method to maintain a consistent distance between grid lines, measured in millimeters, regardless of zoom level?

Thanks

You can set fixed grid distance: View->Show->Ruller&Grid.
In part Grid, set Horizontal and Vertical grid spacing as Fixed, with desired minimal spacing.
Hope my GIF can helps...

the density (where the shapes are snapping) you can adjust with the sliders at 'View' -> 'visual aid' -> 'further options'
