Somehow my default page is set to A4 when ever I start a document. Is there a way to get it to my US size by default anytime I use Visio?
Be nice to have orientation and my preferred setup too.

What is your default printer's page size and orientation?
Go to menu bar > File > Page Setup > and click on the Page Size tab. Verify that the Same as printer paper size is selected.

I know about how to set my page manually but I want it to be always my default page setup every time when I start. I would like to have 8x11 Letter, Landscape, center horizontal, vertical and fit 1 to 1 every time I click a new page or start Visio.
Today I have A4 Letter Portait. My printer default page is OK with 8x11 Letter.
Your problem has a familiar ring to it, so I searched this forum for page size. Found this topic, Default paper size in Visio 2007 ( http://visguy.com/vgforum/index.php?topic=690.msg2966#msg2966 ), nearly identical to your issue. Unfortunately, the post doesn't indicate if anything was resolved.
It seems that perhaps the best solution might be to create a template that has all of the desired settings, and when you start Visio, launch that template.
Sorry that this isn't more helpful.

I was having the same problem with the A4 paper as the default page size, Then, I noticed that I was selecting the Metrics template for the new document (it was the first one listed).
When I changed to the US template, the default page became the standard 8.5 x 11.
