Title: Numbering and Lettering

Is there a way to automatically add a number say every inch horizontally and a letter every inch vertically. Just hoping to same a little time, thanks

You could place a shape on your drawing at the starting position, say a rectangle.  You might want to change the line and fill characteristics.  Then gto toolbar > tools > Add-ons > Visio Extras > Number Shapes.  Fill out the desired attributes.  If you have Visio Pro, then I you should also have array shape Add-on.  Run that after filling out the necessary info.  Use this to set your horiz and vertical numbers and letters.  If you don't have the 2nd add-on, just copy and paste as many shapes as you want in each direction.  Make sure the beginning and ending shapes are in the exactly right positions.  Use the alignment tool to set the, duh, alignment.  Then use the distribute shapes tool to correctly space the shapes between the two ends.
