I know microsoft owns IE and office so maybe that's why but when you save a map as htm and open the file in IE you get a gui on the left side but you dont get a gui when opening the file up in other browsers. Is there anyway to make the gui show up on other browsers? Mainly firefox and or chrome. In IE I can show the shape data which is exactly what I'm trying to do in other browsers.  ;D

as a first thought from the side; the new visio (afaik) default saves in a format that uses sliverlight. Have you attempted to save the drawing in a different style?

I"m unfamiliar with different styles. Are you referring to different file formats?

AFAIK when you install Silverlight it is installed for ALL browsers (including Firefox and Chrome)..

In Visio 2007 (and below), "save as web" supports all features (such as shape data display and pan&zoom window) only in IE.
Visio 2010 web-export should work properly with Firefox/Safari as well. Chrome is not supported.
